One for the Record Books
The girls were only up for an hour and both had to have several time outs.
Theo had been up since 6:15 a.m., ate everything in sight, and just wasn’t happy. And it was only 8 a.m.?!!
Talk about a stressed out morning. So, what do we do when we can’t take it anymore and Daddy has to go out to do the shopping for the week?
1) Pick up phone.
2) Sound calm and cool.
3) “HI mom. Are you going to be home? DO you have milk? Good, cause we’re coming over and having lunch.”
4) Load up the car, bring some food, and hope for the best.
A Change of Scenery
Sometimes during the weekend we see too much of each other so a change of scenery is a good thing. There were plenty of out-door activities we could have taken advantage of yesterday but I was afraid Theo just would not be a willing participant…so I dragged him to mom’s, with the girls of course.
Poor mom…she must be so happy to know that when I’m stressed the first thing I think of is bringing the kids to her house to run around.
But everything worked out well, and we all had a good time. Even Auntie Maire and Justyna joined us, and we were able to play with Alex too.
So while it started off on the wrong note, we turned around quite nicely. I can’t ask for anything better.
