So I think I may have spoken (written) a little too soon about Theo’s new sleep meds. Sure, he does get a solid 8 hours…but he is still getting up at 3:30-4:30 a.m.
I repeat…that’s A.M. PEOPLE!!!
We are trying to move his nighttime routine to a later time. But his body is so in tune with going to bed at a certain time that stretching it, even by 15 minutes, is quite a challenge.
And that’s an understatement.
We started last night and increased everything by 15 minutes. He still managed to fall asleep, on the dot, at 8:30 p.m. waking this morning at 3:30 a.m. (he later fell asleep on the couch and had the greatest head of bed head ever!).
Anyhow… tonight, I stretched it even more and BOY OH BOY he was everywhere. We’re talking hyper, crazed, full on autism symptoms on display! Finally convinced him to get into bed around 8:30 p.m. And he rocked it out until about 9:10 p.m.
So, my little boy…my little boy who can’t help it… is asleep.
I need to get off this computer and do the same.
I could be getting up early again.
